WALC2004 is the 24th edition of the biennial conference of West African Linguistic Society (WALS)

The plenary session for this will be taken by Mr Tunde Adegbola, the Executive Director of ALT-I, who would also organise a workshop which has as one of its objectives, "to examine the possible effects of the emerging information society and globalisation on African languages." concerning organisation, planning and logistics of the programme. The
