The University of Ibadan, venue of the WALC2004 is situated in the ancient city of Ibadan, the largest city south of the Sahara. The city is noted for its hospitality. There are several comfortable Guest Houses in and around the University. WE recommend the University of Ibadan Hotels for participants who would like to stay within the university campus. The Hotels, their location and tariffs are as follows: 

a: University of Ibadan Hotels (Located within the campus and close to the conference Venue)
Double Room (Queen bed): N4,600 (£45, $60) per night
Double Room (twin bed): N5,520 (£50; $75) per night
* 15% service charge and VAT included
 
b: Premier Hotel (15-20 minutes drive from campus)
Double Room (Queen bed): N6,500 (£--, $--) per night
Double Room (twin bed): N7,500 (£--; $--) per night
* This does not include 10% Service charge and 5% VAT
 
c: Resource Centre Guest House (five minutes drive from campus)
Chalet – N3,450 (£50, $70) per night
Double Room: N2,875 (£45; $60) per night
Standard Room: N2,530 (£40, $55) per night
* Service charge and VAT included
 
d: Plaza Park Hotel (located at the University main gate)
Junior suite: N5,000 per night
Senior Double Room: N4,500  per night
* 15% service charge and VAT included
 
Junior Double Room:N4,000  per night
Single ‘A’: N3,500 per night.
Single ‘B’: N2,000 per night
* Service charge and VAT already included
 

Notice:

  1. There is need for conference participants to book Hotel accommodation well in advance to avoid last minute rush.
  2. Conference participants are to note that there is no “online” booking as booking can be made only through the Local Organising Committee (LOC). LOC is already making contacts with the Hotels for concession and bulk booking ahead of the conference date.
  3. Accommodation charges are subject to minor variation.
